Little Things Add Up

27 Sep

My husband and I are currently working to pay off our debt.  We have one loan left–my car–and we are doing everything we can to pay it off early.  I have been amazed at how much “extra” money I am able to find in our small budget to put towards the car payment.

One of the most recent ways I’ve been saving a few extra pennies is by selling some of my gently used, nicer clothes on eBay.  I was skittish about this at first, but I have already earned almost $17 off 2 items, and have 2 more currently listed.

I know this amount may not seem like much, but if I sell 10 items on eBay for just $5, that is an extra $50 towards the loan.  And that’s nothing to sneeze at. Currently, we are on schedule to pay our loan off in 9 months.  My husband and I have set our goal at 6 months or less, and these little extras are helping us achieve that goal.

What are some other ways that you have found to come up with extra in your budget?
