Saving money doesn’t have to mean sacrificing fashion.

Notice that all of these are pieces that can be worn with other outfits.  One of the most efficient ways to maximize your clothing budget is to invest in pieces that are versatile.

Also, you’ll notice that most of these items are name-brand clothes.  Investing in quality clothing will give you more return on your money over time.  If you shop sales & clearance racks, especially as the seasons change, you can score some great items for even greater prices.

Sometimes, I do invest a little more in a certain item that I think will be a staple of my wardrobe.  These grey boots are an example.  I normally don’t pay $40 for any piece of clothing.  However, when I saw these boots I knew that I could make them work with a lot of different outfits.  They are a staple of my fall/winter wardrobe, and were well worth the $40 investment.

What are some of your favorite places to find frugal fashion?
